Ahoy again
We've been out a few times and it's been great therapy. The Sloop is
fast and handling well and I can still manage to solo sail her. I can't
believe Gordon has been gone for a month. It's amazing how fast it all
goes even when it feels life is going in slow motion.
If anyone gets this and can make it at the last minute down to the
harbor, we're meeting around 11 am this morning. Call me on my cell if
you want to come and may be running late. We can wait for a bit.
I'm planning on sailing Monday night, July 16th, the only decent looking
night so far this week. I'll try again for Friday evening the 20th and
Sunday the 22nd. Maybe sometime on Saturday, but that is the day his
family and I will be scattering Gordon's ashes, and I don't know what
time that will be.
I am currently planning to be in Chicago for the weekend of August 11th
and weather permitting plan to go sailing to watch the meteor shower.
For the first time in ages it's on a weekend so we can stay out late
without making it hard to get up for work. I also plan on being back
for Labor Day weekend.
Time's running short, so let me know if and when you want to go sailing
and see me.
