[Sloop Scoop 2013] August sailing Including this weekend (Aug 9-12)

Ahoy crew

First of all, I apologize to those of you who are not on facebook.  I 
have tried to let people know on the Sloop Scoop page on fb when I'll be 
in town and can take people sailing, but this is the first Sloop Scoop 
email I've managed to send out.

I am still living in the DC area and will be there until December when I 
head back to Africa.  In my absence, the Sloop's caretaker is Paul 
Erling, and he and his family have been taking good care of the boat and 
posting on the facebook site when the boat is going out for interested 
sailors.

I'm planning on going to the Jackson Park Yacht Club jazz fest tonight 
and then go out for a late sail to try to see some meteors.  Let me know 
if you are interested in coming.  I also plan on taking the boat out 
sometime tomorrow (Sunday) and possibly Monday morning before I head 
back to DC.

I am tentatively planning to be back here at the end of August, from the 
28th -- September 1st.  If you've been able to catch me because you need 
to plan ahead, here's your chance to expect me!

I hope to see some of you in August.  I will also be here some weekend 
in September, but not yet sure when.
